New Projects & Performances

It’s been a busy few weeks! I recently had two Ontario premieres of my pieces Cosmosis and Falling (into the unknown) at Between the Ears Festival in Waterloo with a program that included a piece by Linda Catlin Smith and works by the Kitchener-Waterloo Composers Collective.

I was also fortunate to have the 3rd performance of RE:connect in Ottawa at the Ottawa Dance Directive presented by the Movement Gallery at their debut show. This piece has grown so much since it’s premiere last May and so thankful to have such dedicated performers and collaborative partner.

I’m now currently working on an orchestral piece over the summer and a commission from Caution Tape Sound Collective for solo percussion, electronics, and movement for fall 2017. Lots on the go and I’m excited to continue working on these projects!

The Movement Gallery Show

Looking forward to the third performance of my piece RE:connect with The Movement Gallery’s debut show in Ottawa on June 2nd! Check it out if you can.

March Performances

It’s been a busy month of performances and rehearsals! I had two premieres this month. without ground was premiered by Blue Rider Ensemble at the Canadian Music Centre on March 10th followed by two more performances in Waterloo and Montréal. It has been such an amazing opportunity to have worked with the ensemble and I couldn’t be happier with how beautifully they performed the piece.

My piece, into a landscape, unrest had its premiere with Caution Tape Sound Collective’s Quintile show on March 18 at Array Space in Toronto. This piece was a different direction for me and I was really pleased with how it all turned out. It was so great to work with dedicated and sensitive musicians and for the opportunity to experiment and try new ideas.
