Program Notes

"Mixed Foliage" explores a deconstructed landscape, made up of a collage of sounds from city streets and urban nature to magnified sounds of objects in their environment with the ensemble contributing to the fluctuation of this mixed landscape. I collected different field recordings when I was traveling in Europe in 2023 and wanted to compile them into one sound world, bringing together a variety of memories from different places.
